Mounting Instructions

How to mount the anchor system (standard board):

  1. Remove Anchor system from packaging and hook onto the nose of the board.
  2. Mark the desired position of the anchor system to reference.
  3. Clean the nose of the board with denatured alcohol or similar product to remove any contaminants that would prevent the VHB tape from bonding.
  4. Remove the protective film from the VHB tape and place the anchor system on the board. Hold the system tightly to the board for 30 seconds allowing the VHB tape to bond. (VHB tape bonds at 70 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with 50% strength after 20 min, 90% strength after 24 hours and 100% after 72 hours)
  5. You are now ready to go. You can remove the anchor system at any time by simply pulling the pin out and sliding the system forward.

How to mount the anchor system (“Heavy duty” base plate):

  1. Remove Anchor system from packaging, disconnect the standard base plate and replace with the “heavy duty” base plate, hook onto the nose of the board. (The “Heavy Duty” base plate can be used in conjunction with two thread sert kits for added strength)

How to mount the anchor system (Thread Sert kit):

  1. Remove Anchor system from packaging and hook onto the nose of the board.
  2. Mark the desired position of the anchor system to reference.
  3. Remove the base plate from the anchor system and place in the previously marked position.
  4. Mark the base plate hole locations on the board and drill out the holes with the supplied 3/8” drill bit. (Take care not to drill too deep).
  5. Fill the holes with the supplied epoxy resin and insert the Thread Serts. (Take care when inserting that you don’t get epoxy into the inner threads)
  6. Wipe off any excess epoxy and allow the epoxy to fully cure. (The Thread Serts should sit level with the top of the board)
  7. Clean the nose of the board with denatured alcohol or similar product to remove any contaminants that would prevent the VHB tape from bonding.
  8. Position the base plate properly, remove the protective film from the VHB tape and place it on the board. Hold the system tightly to the board for 30 seconds allowing the VHB tape to bond. (VHB tape bonds at 70 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with 50% strength after 20 min, 90% strength after 24 hours and 100% after 72 hours)
  9. Use the supplied bolts and secure the base plate to the thread serts. (If extra protection is desired use blue Locktite on the bolts)
  10. You are now ready to go. You can remove the anchor system at any time by simply pulling the pin out and sliding the system forward.

How to mount the anchor system (Inflatable board):

  1. Remove Anchor system from packaging and attach the inflatable base plate to the standard base plate using the supplied nuts and bolts.
  2. Place the hook against the nose of the board and mark the desired position of the anchor system to reference.
